Sonsino Turcan Construction

Aubrey Walk

Located between Holland Park and Hyde Park the property lies within the Kensington Conservation Area. This semi detached Victorian villa is set over two storeys and backs onto the Campden Hill Lawn Tennis Club.

The house underwent a full refurbishment including mechanical and electrical with fully piled raft foundation and reconfiguration of underground drainage. A ground and first floor extension were included in the scope of works with full structural reconfiguration to both floors, requiring substantial reconfiguration. A challenging Construction Traffic Management Plan (CTMP) was required for waste removal and deliveries as the surrounding roads are particularly narrow and winding.

Externally, two GRP (glass reinforced plastic) roofs were installed along with three bespoke skylights. Internally a delta tanking system was used and a heat recovery system was installed. This provides fresh filtered air into habitable rooms while retaining heat that would normally be waisted. Three new bathrooms were installed along with a de VOL kitchen.
